You can surf or paddle board, hike the white sand trails of Carolina Beach State Park or just take in the sea, sun and sights.

The Boardwalk
Ranked one of the top 10 boardwalks in the country by Food & Wine magazine, the Carolina Beach Boardwalk features classic seaside family fun with shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Located just off the beach between Cape Fear Blvd and Harper Ave., the Boardwalk District is a pedestrian only area with lots of parking and bike racks nearby. Between the commercial area and the ocean is a raised wooden boardwalk offering access to the beach and spectacular views.
Fort Fisher State Historic Site
Fort Fisher was a Confederate fort during the American Civil War. It protected the vital trading routes of the port at Wilmington, North Carolina, from 1861 until its capture by the Union in 1865
